Who they're for
See if one of these sounds like you.
Chapter 1 shows how banks create money when they lend, what the $23.3 trillion of money in America is made of, and the one time America paid off its national debt.
The maps go back to 1824 and 1835, and the book's fold-out timeline puts the events in order on one spread.
All four maps come print-ready in every common frame size, in navy or light paper, so you can pick the one that suits your room.
Every number has a footnote, and chapter 2 brings Argentina up to today with both sides' best numbers. We explain how money works, and we never tell you what to do with yours.
Chapter 2 follows nine fixes and nine failures, from the 1824 harbor loan to the IMF's biggest loan ever, and the Nine Defaults map stamps each default with its year and its cause.
Each chapter comes with questions to think about, a glossary explains the terms in plain words, and you're welcome to use the files in your own classes.
The maps show each story at a glance. The book tells it in full.

How we check
A map is only worth framing if it's right. So every number in the maps and the book is sourced, and anything a story depends on is checked against at least two independent sources or the original document.
